Future im Kopf, Change im Herz

In Future im Kopf, Change im Herz, the voices of those whose voices don’t count are made heard: young people in Hamburg who were not yet eligible to vote in the federal elections. In the middle of the city, equipped with wireless headphones, the audience joins three performers from Glitch AG in a game about democracy, co-determination, and political participation. In a modular game landscape, the voices of young Hamburg residents, sound collages, and performative actions make the political climate tangible—from the perspective of those who will soon be able to vote themselves.

In cooperation with students from the Horn District School, the Süderelbe District School, and the Nelson Mandela School in Wilhelmsburg.

Together with Glitch AG, we conceived the outdoor audio game and designed and implemented the scenography for it. The mobile elements—hurdles, balance boards, seat cushions, and writable boards—form the flexible and changeable stage set.
Some of the elements were created together with the students in construction workshops.
